ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
Sharing my passion for the ancient art of bas (plaster) relief, creating one of a kind, custom commissions. Finished pieces are ready to hang with textured sides and soft rounded edges. My attention to the smallest details helps create pieces that are set in stone. I am a versatile and successful decorative artist who can create a piece to be treasured.
I was born in Saint Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada. Nestled on the St. Croix River, opposite Calais, Main, St. Stephen is relatively small. Also home to Ganong - the 150 year old chocolatier.
I was raised in Petitcodiac, a small town in New Brunswick. I would draw constantly. It was a wonderful place to grow up in the70's, drinking from the hose and going on unsupervised adventures. We would return home when the street lights came on.
I was eager to leave home for Moncton NB the big city where I worked on my art and worked minimum wage jobs. There were more opportunities for artist and I showed art at them all. Show after show, charity auctions, galleries, art shows, coffee houses, city hall, library, shows in surrounding cities, Saint John, Fredericton, Saint Andrews AND MORE
After years of 4 plus shows every year I eventually became burnt out. I decided to take a break and move to Saint Martins NB. It was beautiful and secluded with endless trails. Full days of hiking and painting and exploring. I learned how to build my own website and sold painting online and making deliveries to the surrounding areas. It was just what I needed.
And that brings us to today, I am living in Fort Saskatchewan Alberta. It is faster passed then I was used to, very exciting. I have had a few shows and applied for some galleries. I am glad to say paintings are now for sale at Hair Mantra in Fort Saskatchewan, it has been a great place to be.
Below I have posted a short video that explains what I do and examples of some pieces in progress. Enjoy and thank you for stopping by!
