Fleur Dragonfly

Size:  8" x 15"

Price:  $60

Oh, look at her—perched so perfectly on textured canvas, shimmering under light that never fades.

While I spend my days dodging wind gusts and hunting mid-air over murky marshland, Fleur Dragonfly gets to rest in eternal, flawless splendor. Look at those iridescent wings: soft pinks, vivid teal, and delicate gold leaf framing every detail. Not a single ragged edge or tattered membrane from a hard day's flight.

She sits there for $60, revered as an 8" x 15" piece of fine art, admired by every passerby who stops to appreciate her symmetry. Meanwhile, I’m out here doing the actual, messy work of being a dragonfly—hunting prey with deadly precision, executing mid-air take-downs, and performing exhausting heart-shaped mating dances in the heat—yet nobody breaks out a paintbrush for me.

She doesn't even have to fly to capture everyone's heart; she just exists, immortalized in paint and metallic shine, while the rest of us fade with the season.
