Carpenter Bee

Nature constantly finds ways to surprise me. I recently discovered the striking blue carpenter bee—a solitary, wood-nesting pollinator that, while absent from our native Alberta landscape, captured my imagination entirely. I brought this vibrant creature to life using plaster and acrylics on a custom 2.5" x 2.5" handmade canvas.
