Capturing a majestic moment in mid-flight, this original piece showcases a barn owl posed in a dramatic banking position against a dark sky, creating a strong sense of motion. Built using layered sculpting techniques—incorporating elements like plaster and form bases—the artwork features heavily sculpted, intricately detailed plumage across its outstretched wings and body. The feathers display a naturalistic gradient of rich earthy browns, warm ambers, and speckled white or pale tones characteristic of a barn owl's markings.
