December 28
Work in progress is progressing. I am starting painting from background to foreground and vice versa to see if it makes a difference in the level of difficulty.
Dec 28
Previously titled "Tree Mist" I decided to rework this into something new. The tree mist was very flat and not much color. I extended the plaster to make more lush and 3D branches and added some wolves under the tree. It still seemed to be lacking some color, I could have added a sunset in the background but I decided to go with snow. I am glad I didn't strip the frame and decided to save it!
Dec 23
Did you know you can order some of my previous works? You can also customize a piece to your liking. Change the size, color or design your own piece. This was ordered from a previous work but bigger. There were some edits to the trees to help them fill the space. It came out great!

Sept 26
Carving out the windows and adding the top level where the light will be. I did draw many details that will require wire to be the used.
Sept 26
The hardest part is getting started on the texture, planning how far to go with the relief and what part of the background to paint in. I have learned over time to remember that it can always be removed, shaped or carved out.
